Who Really Gets Top Billing At CBS?

We told you previously of a screenshot from the CBS News press release announcing their new web design. Today, we dig just a little deeper. On the first writing, we showed you just the foremost screenshot of the CBSNews.com home page. The screenshot below comes from the CBS member e-mail. We went back into the archives and dug this up from June 16th.

The blue circles are the network's money-maker Katie Couric. Red circles show Maggie Rodriguez, who fights for airtime while co-hosting third-ranked The Early Show and fills in for Katie ocassionally on the Evening News.

Are we reading something into this? Is there really nothing going on behind the scenes? Katie doesn't even have a single full-face image on this member e-mail. Are we trying to dig up gossip where none really exists?
