Garrison Keillor Suffers Minor Stroke

Public radio personality Garrison Keillor is hospitalized after suffering a minor stroke. Keillor is widely known as the longtime host of A Prairie Home Companion. The 67-year-old humorist is expected to remain hospitalized through Friday before resuming taping of his program.

On last weekend's program, a portion of which is published as "The News from Lake Wobegon" podcast, Keillor didn't have much to say about the Evangelical Lutheran Church's approval of pastors in committed same-sex relationships. He understands those in same-sex relationships should "accept the call to the ministry providing that their underwear is clean."
I have been to many churches and heard many preachers and I've heard many preachers whose calling I've had to doubt. I expect to hear more of them in the future. I believe we'll just leave that with the Lord entirely who he wishes to call to the pulpit and whoever wishes to accept it.
A new season of A Prairie Home Companion begins September 26th.
