While some right-leaning closed-minded people are complaining about how "immoral" Adam Lambert's performance was, I'm calling it ROCK N ROLL. He's a rocker. He performs to shock. He gives a memorable show. He succeeded because everyone in America is talking about his simulated fellatio. So, to this I say: ROCK ON, ADAM!
ABC reported about 1,500 complaints were received following Sunday's telecast, which likely came from East Coast viewers since the pictured scene was cut from the West Coast feed. Following his performance, Lambert said he didn't intend to piss anyone off, but rather to "promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."
Meanwhile, in a rant soon forgotten after Lambert's performance, what the hell was up with Janet Jackson's wardrobe and less-than-spectacular performance. She looked like she was going over her choreography in her head and not just letting it all out. Janet, you're better than that!
And, if you were following the Twitter feed here on the blog, this will come as no surprise. I am a huge fan of Alicia Keys. She has got to be one of the classiest, talented, real performers around. Last night, she didn't disappoint. She belted two songs and impressed double as much as any other performer on that stage! Bravo Ms. Keys!
