FX Agrees To Buy TV Rights For '2012'

FOX' FX Network has agreed to purchase the television rights to disaster flick 2012.  This will be a lofty fee for the cable outlet given typical contracts of this type end up with the network paying about 12% of the domestic box office total.  On opening weekend alone, 2012 brought in $65-million and is expected to have a domestic box office total of more than $200-million.

FX will air 2012 for the first time in, appropriately, 2012.
