SAG Awards 2010: The Nominees

For the third time this week, we'll offer you our picks for an awards presentation.  This time around, it's the Screen Actors Guild.  And first up, our picks for Theatrical Motion Pictures.

Morgan Freeman's Invictus role should get him the Outstanding Lead Actor award and Meryl Streep's Julia Child should get her the Outstanding Lead Actress trophy.  However, Sandra Bullock has a good chance of winning the latter.  In the Supporting Actor categories, we like Matt Damon (Invictus) and Penelope Cruz (Nine).  The cast of Precious is our pick for the cast award.

And onto Primetime Television... We like Michael C Hall (Dexter) for Outstanding Actor - Drama Series and Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) for Outstanding Actress - Drama Series.  In the top actor spots for Comedy Series, we like Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) or Tony Shalhoub (Monk) and Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie).  The cast of Dexter should get their due in the Ensemble - Drama category and Glee for Ensemble - Comedy.

SAG also honors stunt ensembles in their awards ceremony, which we like Public Enemies for the Motion Picture and 24 for the Television Series.

And Betty White is lined up to receive the Screen Actors Guild Awards 46th Annual Life Achievement Award.

The SAG awards will be handed out in a ceremony to be broadcast on TBS and TNT on January 23rd.
