First up, Vancouver 2010. We're just days - or so it feels - away from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. The Vancouver 2010 Organizing Committee made its final presentation to the IOC last week. The final presentation typically includes operational plans and the details of the handover of venues to the IOC. Vancouver 2010 is just about 60 days away.Also last week, the organizing committee for London 2012 made their 1000 day presentation to the IOC. London's presentation gave the IOC an update on construction of venues and the committee's plan to involve the entire country in the 2012 games. Earlier the same day, the IOC announced the addition of Track Cycling and Mixed Doubles (tennis) for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Finally last week, we looked forward to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Representatives from France, Germany and South Korea were in Switzerland to attend Applicant City seminars put on by the IOC. Host City announcement will come in July 2011.
